ENVE Melee V2 Frameset
Product Details
The ENVE Melee V2 Frameset is a purpose-built road racing platform engineered to eliminate the traditional compromise between lightweight climbing bikes and aerodynamic race machines. Building on the original Melee introduced in 2022, the Melee V2 advances both weight and aerodynamic efficiency simultaneously while preserving the responsive handling and efficient power transfer that define the platform. The result is a WorldTour-level race bike designed around one objective: going faster in the real world.
The Melee V2 achieves its weight savings through extensive refinement throughout the frame and components. Frame surface area has been reduced by 7.5 percent, while a new headset with smaller bearings, a BSA bottom bracket, and an updated two-bolt seatpost further reduce weight. The new seatpost alone saves 28 grams while improving saddle adjustment and aerodynamic efficiency. In the UL Black finish, the 56cm frame weighs just 791 grams, with the complete frameset weighing 1,442 grams including the frame, fork, headset, seatpost, thru-axles, and derailleur hangers. This allows a properly equipped 56cm complete bike to reach the UCI minimum weight of 6.8kg.
Aerodynamic performance has received equal attention. Developed using ENVE's Real-World Fast protocol at the Mercedes-Petronas Wind Tunnel in Silverstone, UK, the Melee V2 was engineered with renowned aerodynamicist Simon Smart and tested with an actual rider aboard the bike. The testing incorporated bottles, cages, and ENVE SES rim profiles to evaluate the complete system rather than isolated components. Refined tube shapes work with the rider's body and legs to manage airflow across the entire bike, resulting in a claimed 17-watt aerodynamic improvement, including 11.4 watts from the frame, fork, and seatpost.
The Melee V2 is also designed to deliver precise handling across its seven available sizes. Updated geometry includes lower stack heights on the 56cm through 60cm sizes, five fork rakes to maintain consistent handling characteristics, and increased seat tube lengths on larger sizes for greater saddle height flexibility. Tire clearance is optimized for modern road racing with support for tires up to 33mm, reducing weight and drag while retaining the tire volume needed for fast, demanding road courses.
With its ultralight carbon construction, refined aerodynamics, race-focused geometry, and carefully engineered component integration, the ENVE Melee V2 Frameset provides a complete foundation for building an exceptionally fast, lightweight, and responsive road race bike.
