Mondraker Podium RR SL Frameset
Product Details
The Mondraker Podium RR SL Frameset provides a lightweight carbon starting point for a dedicated cross-country build. Its hardtail layout is aimed at riders who value a direct response to pedaling, fast climbing and precise handling. Rather than prescribing a complete bike, the frameset makes the Podium's race-focused chassis the foundation for a personally selected component package.
Mondraker lists a 775g frame weight for the Podium platform in size medium. That frame-only figure reflects the emphasis on minimizing weight while maintaining stiffness through the Stealth Air Carbon construction. The rigid rear triangle keeps the riding feel immediate, making the platform especially appealing for smoother XC courses and riders who prefer to shape the bike's response through handling and tire setup.
The frame is designed around 29-inch wheels and XC Forward Geometry. A longer reach provides room to move, paired with a 68.5-degree head angle, 74.5-degree effective seat tube angle and 430mm chainstays. Together, these dimensions balance a purposeful climbing position with control and responsive changes of direction. It is geometry intended to make a light frame useful on the trail, rather than simply impressive on a scale.
The frame also gives a custom build a practical set of interfaces. The Podium uses a threaded BSA bottom bracket, tapered head tube and Boost 12x148mm rear axle. A UDH interface and dedicated 1x drivetrain layout guide transmission choices, while flat-mount brake compatibility defines the rear braking interface. HHG internal cable routing gives the finished build a tidy appearance without exposed cable runs along the main tubes.
For the rider planning a custom hardtail, those details provide a practical foundation around which to choose the fork, wheels and contact points. The frameset format leaves room to tailor the finished bike to the rider rather than follow a stock specification. Its appeal is the freedom to combine a focused carbon race chassis with a build that matches the rider's courses, fit preferences and priorities. The finished bike can retain the Podium's defining simplicity while taking on an individual character.
