Mondraker Raze Carbon R 2023
Product Details
The Mondraker Raze Carbon R proves that a trail bike's identity shouldn't come down to its travel numbers, but its functionality. With 150mm up front and 130mm at the rear, it blends the pedaling efficiency of a cross-country race bike with the confidence and capability of an enduro machine, creating a genuine quiver killer for riders who refuse to choose between climbing well and descending harder. Mondraker built the Raze for anyone who wants one bike that can ride with their XC friends one weekend and hit the bike park with their enduro crew the next.
That versatility starts with the frame. Mondraker's Stealth Air Full Carbon construction keeps frame weight close to 2kg, and the one-piece carbon Monobloc main link, paired with a new lower link design, delivers an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio without adding bulk. Forward Geometry shapes a 65.5 degree head angle and 76.5 degree seat tube angle, striking a balance that favors stability on descents while keeping the bike efficient on the way up. Details like the carbon downtube protector, rubber chainstay guard, and internal Hidden Housing Guide cable routing keep the frame protected and rattle-free ride after ride.
At the heart of the Raze Carbon R is Mondraker's Zero Suspension System, a double-link platform tuned specifically for trail use. It minimizes pedal kickback and brake jack while keeping the rear end active and responsive over rough terrain, so the bike stays composed whether you are grinding up a technical climb or letting off the brakes on a rocky descent. The Fox 36 Float GRIP EVOL Performance fork and Fox Float DPS LV EVOL Performance shock round out a suspension package built to extract every bit of performance from that kinematic design.
Rounding out the build, a SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain delivers smooth, dependable shifting across a wide range, while Mavic Crossmax XL S wheels bring a proven blend of strength and low weight to match the rest of the platform. The result is a trail bike that earned MBR's Best Trail Bike of 2022 award, and one that genuinely blurs the line between XC, trail, and enduro riding.
