At the core is Orbea's specially tuned Shimano EP801 motor paired with RS Gen2 RC firmware, a second-generation rider synergy system that increases maximum torque to 85 Nm. Unlike generic e-bike tuning, RC stands for Road Control, a specific motor tune developed precisely for narrower gravel tires and mixed-surface riding. Two pre-configured profiles give you flexibility: Gravel mode offers the most natural ride and longest range on smoother surfaces, while Gravel+ mode maximizes traction on loose terrain by delivering more torque at lower cadences. Through the Shimano e-Tube app, riders can configure assistance up to 85 Nm and 350W maximum power, tailored exactly to your needs.

The 420Wh battery represents class-leading energy density, packing more power into a smaller, lighter package. Shimano's advanced monitoring provides lag-free power delivery that feels natural and responsive. With typical riding yielding up to 3,500 meters of climbing in Eco mode, the optional 210Wh Range Extender (weighing just 1.05kg) adds flexibility for the most ambitious adventures.

Orbea's gravel-specific geometry combines a shorter seat tube for vibration absorption, optimized chainstay length for balanced handling, longer top tube for precise off-road control, and a lower bottom bracket for stability on rough surfaces.
