Product Details
The Orbea Laufey is a hardtail built on a simple premise: riding one is a choice, not a compromise. When you throw a leg over the Laufey, you've already decided to squeeze every last drop of fun from each ride. With slack, low-slung geometry, a burly 140mm fork, and frame design that absorbs trail buzz while taking the sting out of bigger impacts, the Laufey refuses to be categorized. It could be your first bike or another weapon in your collection. Ride it in Lycra or shred it in jeans. The Laufey is your ticket to a good time.
The advanced triple-butted aluminum frame employs shaped tubes that add strength to high-stress weld areas while saving weight elsewhere, allowing precise tuning of ride quality. The design creates that magic feel through carefully controlled compliance, precision and absorption working in harmony. The frame from the head tube to the bottom bracket remains stiff, offering precision, accuracy, and pedaling efficiency where it matters. The Powerspine provides the strength needed to design the rear triangle and top tube for maximum vertical compliance, critical for vibration absorption on rough terrain. Tuned stiffness means the downtube and head tube areas deliver precision and great pedaling, while controlled flex in the top tube and seat stays reduces unwanted vibrations and lessens the effects of impacts.
Trail geometry done right combines slack, low-slung proportions with Steep 'n' Deep design that maximizes maneuverability. The uninterrupted, short, and straight seat tube accommodates fully-inserted long-travel dropper posts on all sizes, giving you space to move and control on descents. Precisely shaped chainstays offer plenty of clearance for 2.6-inch tires, while the sloping top tube adds playfulness. The 140mm fork matches the Laufey's fun-loving nature, letting you push hard even when terrain gets rough.
