Orbea Occam SL M30

The Orbea Occam SL M30 is a lightweight, efficient trail bike designed for riders who want to cover serious ground while still having the confidence and capability to push hard when the trail turns technical. Built around Orbea's Fast Trail philosophy, the Occam SL combines responsive handling, efficient pedaling, and 140mm of front and rear suspension travel into a versatile platform that can tackle everything from long mountain adventures and fast XC-inspired rides to aggressive singletrack and high-speed descents.

At the heart of the Occam SL M30 is an Orbea Occam OMR carbon frame featuring an asymmetric design that strategically removes material while maintaining the stiffness needed for precise handling and efficient power transfer. The high-modulus, high-strength carbon construction provides an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio, helping keep the bike light and responsive without compromising durability. Its 29-inch wheel platform delivers increased rollover capability, traction, and stability while maintaining the agility needed to navigate tight and technical sections of trail.

The Occam SL's concentric pivot suspension system provides a predictable, linear-progressive suspension feel that remains composed under braking while maintaining traction across rough terrain. With approximately 30% progression, the suspension balances sensitivity through the early portion of the travel with increased support deeper into the stroke, allowing riders to maintain control through repeated impacts and larger hits. The efficient anti-squat characteristics also help the Occam climb exceptionally well, making it equally suited to long climbs and demanding descents.

A Fox 36 Float SL Performance fork with 140mm of travel works alongside a Fox Float Performance rear shock with a custom tune to deliver balanced front and rear suspension performance. Both feature remote push-lock functionality, allowing riders to quickly adjust the suspension for more efficient climbing or open it up for technical terrain.

The Occam SL M30 also incorporates adjustable geometry, giving riders the ability to fine-tune the bike to suit different trails and riding styles. The adjustable headset can alter the head angle by up to 0.75 degrees, while the frame's Fast Trail geometry provides a balanced position designed for efficient climbing and confident descending. Long seatpost insertion also allows riders to take advantage of longer dropper posts for improved freedom of movement on steep terrain.

Completing the build is a Shimano XT M8200 rear derailleur and Race Face AR 30c Tubeless Ready wheelset. Integrated cable routing, upgraded frame protection, sealed pivot bearings, an integrated chain guide, and Orbea's LOCKR frame storage system keep the Occam quiet, practical, and ready for demanding adventures.
