Orbea Oiz M10 AXS

The Orbea Oiz M10 AXS is designed for dedicated XC racers who train with clear goals, strive to improve in every race, and seek maximum performance on circuits above all else. Building on 19 years of championship heritage since the original Oiz launched in 2005, this completely redesigned generation represents one of Orbea's most ambitious development projects—three years of focused engineering dedicated to improving every aspect of performance and creating one of the most capable XC bikes on the market today.

The new frame geometry centers around a critical balance in modern XC racing: increasing stiffness without compromising weight. Advanced Finite Element Analysis fine-tuned the bike's dynamic behavior before reaching the trail, while optimized manufacturing processes refined the bottom bracket area to be lighter without sacrificing strength or structural stiffness. The new linkage is significantly stiffer, evolving from carbon to forged aluminum with strategically placed internal cutouts for a 30% weight reduction compared to the previous version. The Powerspine running along the lower section of the frame from head tube to bottom bracket optimizes power transfer during explosive efforts like sprints, delivering superior performance on demanding terrain.

The Oiz maintains its regressive suspension kinematics optimized for 120mm travel front and rear, prioritizing support in the initial part of the stroke to improve pedaling efficiency and minimize suspension bob. The geometry has evolved with subtle but effective refinements: chainstay length reduced from 432mm to 430mm for enhanced responsiveness, a steeper seat tube for improved power transfer and front-wheel traction, and a slackened head angle (66.8°) adding extra stability at high speeds. The patented I-Line technology eliminates cable bends through the top tube to the rear shock for smoother, more efficient actuation, while the Squidlock system combines dropper post and suspension control into two levers for total control without removing your hands from the bar.
