Backordered/Pre-ordered Bike Policy
Contender Bicycles frequently allows customers to pre-order and reserve a bicycle for which we have an estimated ship date. Shipping dates are estimates provided by bike manufacturers and are subject to change based on availability and supply-chain circumstances.
When pre-ordering a backorder bicycle from Contender Bicycles, the customer accepts the following conditions. We encourage customers to contact Contender Bicycles to verify model, size, color and build availability before completing an order for a bicycle.
- A deposit is required to pre-order a bicycle from Contender Bicycles.
- Upon order, Contender Bicycles will confirm the estimated date of arrival of the bike in Salt Lake City and communicate that date with the customer.
- The customer may cancel the pre-order at any time before the bicycle is ready to ship and receive a full refund of all amounts paid.
- If the customer decides to purchase a different bicycle from Contender Bicycles before taking delivery of the pre-ordered bicycle, the full deposit may be applied toward the purchase of the alternate bicycle, with any remaining balance refunded to the customer.

Product Details
The Orbea Rise SL M10 RS 20mph is a lightweight electric mountain bike for riders who want to cover ground, link flowing trails and stay closely connected to every turn. With 140mm of travel front and rear, the Rise SL balances suspension support with the agility of a trail-focused platform. Its purpose is to preserve the involvement of traditional mountain biking while adding assistance for longer routes and sustained climbs.
The Rise SL's high-modulus OMR carbon frame emphasizes low weight without losing the strength and rigidity needed for confident trail riding. Balanced geometry and carefully tuned suspension encourage an active riding position, helping the bike feel composed and responsive as the trail changes direction. The FOX 36 SL fork supports this shorter-travel approach, while the Concentric Boost rear-axle pivot helps the rear suspension remain active under braking to maintain traction on uneven ground.
On winding singletrack, the Rise SL's fast-trail geometry and 140mm suspension platform keep the emphasis on flow, efficiency and precise rider input. It is designed for riders who enjoy staying active on the bike, reading the terrain and carrying momentum between corners. The frame's Steep'n'Deep design allows deep dropper-post insertion, creating room to move when the trail points downhill.
Shimano's EP810 motor works with Orbea's RS firmware to make assistance responsive to rider effort. Support stays measured when less is needed and increases as the rider pushes harder. The RS profile favors an active ride and range, while RS+ offers up to 100Nm and 600W of assistance for more demanding climbs. Adjustable assistance settings allow riders to tailor that response to their terrain and preferences, keeping the focus on control rather than power alone.
Battery choice follows the same approach. A 420Wh internal battery prioritizes lower weight, while the 630Wh option adds capacity for longer outings, depending on the selected variant. An optional 210Wh range extender provides another way to plan bigger days. Together, the frame, suspension and tuned assistance make the Rise a bike for riders who want more time on the trail without giving up the physical involvement that makes the ride rewarding.
