The Shimano L05A-RF Disc Brake Pads are designed as a resin pad option for compatible Shimano MTB, road, and gravel disc brake systems. They are stated to provide 50 percent more wear resistance than the previous L03A model.
The pads feature alloy radiator cooling fins, which are intended to increase pad life and reduce brake fade. The design is also described as providing smooth and quiet braking performance in both dry and wet conditions.
The L05A-RF pads are compatible with the following Shimano calipers: BR-M8110, BR-M7110, BR-R9270, BR-R8170, BR-R9170, BR-R8070, BR-R7070, BR-4770, BR-RS805, BR-RS505, BR-RS405, BR-RS305, BR-U5000, BR-RX810, and BR-RX400. They are not compatible with XTR BR-M9100 calipers.
